Hi folks. Here's what happened at Necessary Fiction this week:
Kristen Hall-Geisler reviewed Book Of Hours by Ellen O’Connell Whittet (Dzanc Books). You'll find more of Kristen's writing at her website.
Marguerite Sheffer interviewed Bradley Sides about his novella The Volcano Keeper (Regal House). We've previously published Marguerite's story "The Midden," and you'll find more of her writing here.
Then the week's featured story was "A Note from the Translator on This Translation" by Elissa Field, whose other writing is available here.
And in research notes, Devon Halliday wrote about her novel To Stay, To Stay, To Stay (McSweeneys). You'll probably want something nice from the bakery on hand while you read this one.
Elsewhere, The Neighborhood Dames, a novel by past contributor Laura Stanfill, will be published soon by Ooligan Press and is available for preorder now. And our friends at Rose Metal Press recently published The Rose Metal Press Field Guide to Writing the Lyric Essay, edited by Heidi Czerwiec and Lee Horikoshi Roripaugh. If you aren't familiar with Rose Metal's field guide series, check out the other volumes as well.
Thanks for reading,
