Hi folks. I hope this has been a good week for you all. Here's what we've been up to at Necessary Fiction:
Our own fiction editor Lacey Dunham reviewed Body Double by Hanna Johansson, translated by Kira Josefsson (Catapult Books). If you'd like to see more recommended reading from Lacey and the other editors, we recently shared our list for summer.
And our summer flash fiction series continued with "Lavender and Glass" by Toshiya Kamei.
Then in research notes, Joyce Maynard wrote about her new novel In Wonderland.
Elsewhere, contributor Peter Grandbois has a new collection of poetry, Story Of A Pilgrim, available from Tiger Bark Press.
And The Given World, the latest novel by contributor Melissa Harrison, is already available in the UK and will be published in a US edition this fall. In the meantime, you can immerse yourself in this collaboration between Pete Rogers and Laura Cannell who have composed and performed music inspired by the novel.
Thanks for reading,
Steve Himmer
