Hi folks. Here's what we've been up to at Necessary Fiction this week:
Past contributor Bradley Bazzle joined us again to review The Church of Divine Electricity by Emily Mitchell (University of Wisconsin Press).
We're pleased to have Amina Gautier back in our pages, too, this time in conversation with Serkan Görkemli about his story collection Sweet Tooth and Other Stories (University Press of Kentucky).
The next featured story in our summer flash fiction series is "vs MFA" by Oscar Mancinas, whose work we have also shared before.
Elsewhere, we were excited to see announcements of forthcoming books from a number of contributors and friends, and we look forward to highlighting those when they are available for preorder. Here's one that will be published next month: Mudlark, the second novel by Mary Helen Specht, coming from Ballantine Books. And here are some research notes about her previous novel, Migratory Animals.
Thanks for reading,
Steve Himmer
