Hi folks. Here's what we've been up to at Necessary Fiction:
Rick Henry joined us again to review A Parish Chronicle by Halldór Laxness, translated by Philip Roughton for Archipelago Books.
Allison Wyss is back in our pages too, interviewing Danilo John Thomas about his story collection Ore Vein, out now from Veliz Press.
And our annual summer flash fiction series kicked off with "Swung" by Salwa Emerson.
Also, coming up soon we'll share a few summer reading recommendations from our editors, so I'm wondering what your own reading plans and suggestions are for the season. What's been good lately? Do you have a particular reading project in mind for the months ahead, whether for work or for pleasure? Let me know in a reply and I'll try to include those answers in an upcoming Saturday email.
Thanks for reading,
Steve Himmer
