From Scott Rettberg: Talan Memmott is well known as an electronic literature author, for works such as Lexia to Peplexia and Self Portrait(s) [as Other(s)](Self Portrait(s) [as Other(s)]). A California native, Talan lives in Sweden where he teaches digital media at Blekinge Institute of Technology. In recent years, Talan has also been producing a number of short digital films that adapt his peculiar combinatory aesthetic to the the production of moving image narratives (or anti-narratives). Characteristically, Memmott’s films are laden with references to flim and literary culture, and evidence a deeply wry sense of humor and visual wit. Today I’m linking to his film Ingenstans, which can be said to be about the experience of living between cultures, or living nowhere, or everywhere at the same time.
