Hi folks. Here's what we've been up to at Necessary Fiction:
Gabrielle Stecher Woodward joined us again to review In The City by Joan Silber (Hagfish).
Claire Jiménez discussed her books Staten Island Stories (Johns Hopkins University Press) and What Happened to Ruthy Ramirez (Grand Central Pulishing) with frequent contributor Amina Gautier.
And this week's featured story was "The Village Thief" by returning contributor Claire Hopple.
Finally, between themed months, some wonderful guest editors, and our summer flash fiction series, it has been quite a while since we opened to general submissions. But they are open now, to be published after our summer series concludes. I will be reading those submissions myself, if that tells you anything about what might appeal and what to expect. It's been even longer since I had a chance to do that, and I look forward to seeing what discoveries I'll make in the queue.
Thanks for reading,
