Hello again.
Here's what we've been up to this week at Necessary Fiction:
Mia Carroll returned to review Mistress Koharu by Noburu Tsujihara, translated by Kalau Almony (Honford Star).
And our featured story was "A Camel Named Sorrow" by Kelly Pedro, selected by guest editor DeMisty D. Bellinger. You'll find more of Kelly's work here.
Elsewhere, the latest series of chapbooks from Nightjar Press includes Heimat by contributor and friend of NF David Rose.
Slow Stories by Bette Adriaanse (author of the terrific novels Rus Like Everyone Else and What's Mine) was also published recently by Unnamed Press, along with a limited edition bundle of collaboration between the author and Brian Eno. (!)
And The Dead Man's Empire by WP Wiles, sequel to The Last Blade Priest, is newly available from Angry Robot Books.
Finally, friend of NF Jaime Green is once again offering, on May 3, her workshop on Scrivener for Creative Writers, a great resource for those interested in but intimidated by the software.
Thanks for reading,
Steve Himmer
