So, I was asked by Steve to be the ‘Writer in Residence’ this month here at Necessary Fiction, which I consider to be quite an honour.

If I understand things correctly, I’ve been given carte blanche at this blog so I’ll pretty much be writing about . . . well, anything that enters my head.

In the next few days some stuff, things, words will begin to appear from me on here. Right now I have no idea just what they’ll be, but I guess this is part of the fun . . . right?

It has also occurred to me that many of you will have absolutely no idea who I am; rather than me explain who I am I would advise you (should you feel inclined) to have a read of Steve’s rather splendid introduction of me and my work posted a few days ago . . . he manages to make me sound far more exciting than I actually am. I can assure you all, I’m extremely boring.
