Good morning, friends. Here's what we've been up to this week:
Emily Hall reviewed Boxcutters by John Chrostek, published by Malarkey Books. This is Emily's first time writing for us and we're honored to share her work.
Our featured story was "Metamorphose, Swallow Her" by E.B. Davis, also in our pages for the first time.
And in research notes, Jamey Gallagher wrote about his collection American Animism, recently published by Cornerstone Press.
Congratulations are due to Jonathan Taylor, whose story collection Scablands and Other Stories has received the Arnold Bennett Prize for 2025. Jonathan has written about several of his books for our research notes series.
And congratulations as well to contributor Jen Michalski, whose novel All This Can Be True is about to be published by Keylight Books.
Finally, on Wednesday, May 28, Carcanet Books will hold an online launch event for Pattern-book, the new poetry collection by contributor Éireann Lorsung, hosted by Jon McGregor. Registration is requested.
Thanks for reading,
Steve Himmer
