Hello again, readers. I hope you've had a good week. Here's what we've been up to:
Sarah Holloway reviewed I Have Not Considered Consequences, a new story collection by Sherrie Flick published by Autumn House. Sarah's past reviews for us are available here, and we're glad to have her return.
Then on Tuesday Matthew Thomas Meade interviewed Debbie Urbanski about her new collection Portalmania, published by Simon & Schuster. We published Debbie's story "A Bridge To You" back in 2014.
This week's featured story was "The Path" by Olga Utrivanova, translated by Sam Heley.
And we closed the week with Nicola Kraus writing in our Research Notes series about her novel The Best We Could Hope For.
Elsewhere, we've been glad to see contributor Tom McAllister receiving some well-deserved praise for his new essay collection It All Seemed Impossible, published by Rose Metal Press. His craft essay at Cleaver Magazine, "In Praise of the Memoir of the Mundane," also really stuck with me this week.
Thanks for reading,
Steve Himmer
