Welcome to Saturday, friends, and happy Independent Bookstore Day! I hope you'll have a chance to visit a store or two in your area, if you have some good ones nearby, or to support an independent bookstore from a distance. Perhaps even by picking a book by a writer we've featured this week, or in the past.
On Monday, Jamey Gallagher — a new writer in our pages — reviewed Alternative Facts by Emily Greenberg, published by Kallisto Gaia Press. I'd also like to mention that Jamey's own book, a story collection titled American Animism, was recently published by Cornerstone Press.
This week's featured story is "Catnap" by Amalia Gladhart, who in addition to sharing her own fiction with us has also published book reviews and translations in our pages numerous times.
And in research notes, Jennifer Dupree wrote about What Do You Want From Me?, published by Apprentice House Press.
This week also brought publication of Sherrie Flick's new collection of stories I Have Not Considered Consequences, from Autumn House Press.
Until next time, thanks for reading.
