Happy Saturday — I hope the week has been good to you all.

Our book review on Monday was Jody Hobbs Hesler writing about I'll Give You A Reason by Annell López, published by Feminist Press. We're always glad to have Jody back in our pages.

And our featured story was "Horchata for My Homesick Wife" by Jess Golden, a writer we're publishing for the first time.

I'm in Amsterdam at the moment with a group of students, learning about (among other things) living and writing as an expatriate, so I'd like to encourage you to read some work by Daniel J. Cecil, a writer my students and I will be spending some time with. And while you've got Amsterdam on the mind, I always recommend the novels of Bette Adriaanse, Rus Like Everyone Else and What's Mine.
