Hi folks. A quick newsletter this week because (if I've scheduled this properly) I'm probably groggy from overnight travel right now.
This week our editors shared some suggestions for summer reading. We'd love to hear what you're reading and recommending this summer — or winter, if that's your season right now! — either as an email in reply to this newsletter or as a reply on Bluesky.
The featured story in our summer flash fiction series was "On the Corner of Eastern Avenue and Emerald" by Wendy BooydeGraaff. You'll find more of her writing at https://www.wendybooydegraaff.com/.
And in research notes, Brittany Micka-Foos wrote about her collection It's No Fun Anymore from Apprentice House.
If you're a past contributor with a new book or other news to share, please email to let me know. I won't be able to watch for that kind of news on social media for the next several weeks and I don't want to miss sharing it with our readers.
Thanks for reading,
Steve Himmer
